Important update on Covid prevention/control at Goethe-Jinchuang

Time: 2021 - 08 -05

Dear students and guests at Goethe-Jinchuang Shanghai,

The current epidemic situation in China requires a few new and adapted measures regarding Covid prevention and control in our offline classes and at our facilities. As of today and in accordance with the Municipal Education Commission's epidemic prevention and control work prompts, the following guidelines and measures need to be implemented:

1.Do not leave Shanghai if it is not necessary, and do not go overseas or visit any known domestic medium-to-high-risk areas in the near future. If you are enrolled in one of our current offline classes and have to leave Shanghai, please make sure to let us know in advance.

2.When entering our facilities, all students, staff and guests are required to wear a mask at all times, unless social distancing of at least one meter is guaranteed and can be maintained.

3.When entering our facilities, students, staff and guests are required to have their body temperatures measured, and both health- and 14-day-itinerary codes checked. Please prepare displays of the day´s code-outputs in advance to avoid unnecessary waiting at the school gate.

4.If one of the codes is not green, entry onto the school premises will be denied.

5.All students, staff and guests who come from or have directly passed through a domestic epidemic-risk area or a county (districts, cities) that are designated or include areas of medium- or high-risk, are required to undergo a centralized/domestic 14-day quarantine and provide negative results of 2 new PCR tests, before they can return to school. All students, staff and guests who have passed through areas/cities that include parts/districts of medium to high risk but who have not directly passed through the medium- or high risk districts, need to provide green code output (health code + 14-day-itinerary code) as well as confirmation of a current negative PCR test, before they can return to school.

6.All students, staff and guests who come from or have passed through a medium- or high-risk area in the Shanghai municipality are temporarily suspended from entering the school premises and can only return to school after being cleared again to enter low-risk areas in Shanghai as defined by local authorities (please be aware of current developments and avoid areas/districts that are designated areas of medium- or high risk at any time).

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
