Examination "Goethe-Zertifkat C1" on February 7, 2018 (fully booked)

The Goethe-Zertifikat C1 calls for very advanced language skills. It corresponds to level five (C1) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The “Goethe-Zertifikat C1” was developed by the Goethe-Institut.

At many German universities and further-education institutions, foreign applicants with a “Goethe-Zertifikat C1” are exempted from the language entrance test.

Exam date: February 7, 2018 (fully booked) 9:00-17:30

Please arrive at the place of examination 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start; we will check your identity and introduce the format and terms and regulations of the exam.

Place of Examination: We will inform you about one week prior to the exam.

Fee (from 01.01.2017):

1400 RMB for in-house participants (Only students currently enrolled in one of the language classes at the Goethe language learning center enjoy the preferential “internal price” for Goethe-exams in Shanghai. Public classes must include a minimum of 80 units, private classes at least 20 units.)

Register for this exam:

1)Appear in person at our Language Learning Centre at No.628 Julu Road during our office hours (Mon.-Fri. 9:00 – 17:30). Bring a photocopy of your valid ID-Card or passport, two recent photos of good quality as well as the examination fee. (If you enroll a third person in the exam, please, bring the registration form, containing the signature of that third person)

From December 14, 2015 we offer three different time slots for personal payment: in Julu Lu exam fees can be paid on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 1 pm to 4:30 pm.

2)Register online through our website. Once we received your online application, we will inform you about further steps in the registration process via Email. After having obtained all other necessary documents from you, we will send you another confirmation Email, and registration is complete.

The examination office retains the right to change examination dates. Results and grades of „Start Deutsch 1“ exam can be usually obtained on the afternoon of the working day following the exam date. Results and grades of „Goethe-Zertifikat A2” exam can be usually obtained in 5 working days following the exam date. B1, B2 and C1 exams take a processing time of about 15 work days before results and grades will be released anonymously on the website of the SLZ where participants identify their data through their examinee’s number http://shanghai.goetheslz.com/en/exam-results. The essays of the „writing module” of the Goethe Certificate C2 are sent to the Goethe-Institute in Munich for evaluation. The result is returned to us about 1 month later. If other modules in addition to the “writing module” were taken on the exam day, the results will be jointly announced after about 1 month. Goethe-Certificates will be issued within 3 work days after the disclosure of the results. Certificates can be personally obtained during office hours in Julu Lu 628, providing adequate identification, such as passport or ID. Third parties collecting certificates on behalf of the examinee need to produce a copy of that person’s passport or ID in order to receive the certificate.

This agreement is governed by the rules and regulations stipulated on the registration form.

Identity checks will be carried out on the day of the examination. Please make sure to have your valid passport (not a copy) or ID card with you for this purpose. Other forms of identification will not be accepted and will lead to a disqualification from the exam. Please also bring your confirmation of registration, as this shows your exam number, on the basis of which you will be identified.
